My grandmother was there a more then a few years ago. I loved visiting and everyone was so friendly. I walk by daily with my young kids and run into other seniors and have great long conversations. They always are happy to get out and meet others and love talking to my young baby and toddler. I love seeing them out and about. Unfortunately they closed off their walk way the divides their property, to the back of the store property. I love seeing how independent they were to use their walkers to go to the store. Now unfortunately they closed it to everyone. I barley make it up the hill out of breath with a double stroller let alone, I couldn't imagine the residents having struggles to climb that hill with their walkers to go all the away around to the stores. I will keep an eye out to help those in need to climb the hill, I couldn't imagine in the icy winter when sidewalks are slick and barley plowed. I hope they can change that for the residents and do better by opening that doorway for the seniors. I can understand closing it at night but do better and help the seniors out at Guelph Stone Lodge. You didn't consider your paying residents who keep your jobs going, who had freedom to shop with a short walk away to keeping them from going out independently! Such a shame. I will continue to raise awareness to the community and see if we can change that eye sore of a locked door for your people. - Your community member.

I enjoy living at Stone Lodge, I have been here for a year now. The staff are caring and kind. Some go above and beyond. Accommodations are above average. I looked at many places before coming to Stone Lodge and came here mainly because there are no stairs or elevators. The administrative staff are very helpful. The residents are also welcoming and friendly.
My 96 year old father has been a resident for over two years now. The staff are wonderfully kind, patient and helpful. The food is consistently good. The layout is great with only one floor to navigate.
Stone Lodge is an awesome retirement home. Staff are fantastic with residents and very helpful. Most reasonable retirement home in town. And it's close to all kinds of places.
They keep cutting back on staff, and the quality of the food has gone downhill over the past few years. The management is all about making a buck over care of the seniors. Sad.
