Sadly our beloved mother suffered a massive stroke and had to go into residential care February this year. The additional pressures of covid-19 meant we had the added heartbreak of not being able to visit southern house or meet the manager and staff that would be looking after her. However several telephone conversation with the manager regarding mums wellbeing and the level of the nursing care mum would require was explained in great detail with empathy understanding and a very supportive manner. On mums arrival we received daily updates on her progress numerous vidio calls and have been able to see her again at their pod. Even though strict rules are in place the visits have been fun and pleasurable for both our parents at a busy and stressful time for the staff. We are amazed at how mum progress is improving and how happy and settled she is. We have no hesitation in recommending southern house nursing home and wish to thank the manager and staff for the wonderful support and care you are providing not just for mum but the family too.

My Nan came here after the hospital, while here I seen her everyday and everyday there was more and more bruises on her, I gave my Nan a phone and kept myself on the phone to hear them shouting at her and bossing her around! This nursing home made her deteriorate and we’re absolutely awful to her, they kept her in a room with no TV until I had to move the room around myself, not long after I moved her out to my house and had carers but never in my life would I let any family or anyone I know go to here they are absolutely disgusting and have 0 care towards the elders! Horrible place! Please do not let any family members go to this place! ;(
My grandma was resident here for many years and always received top quality high rate of care,they never faulted on anything and the rate of care is high our family are so grateful how they looked after mum/grandma right up till she passed last weekend keeping her comfortable right up till she left for heaven ,thank you !
