My dad was lucky to become a resident of River Ridge II on the secure living neighborhood, 2 South in December 2024. Chassity, Lifestyle Director, was the person who helped us with all our questions and provided a tour. She was and is an absolute gem! You can tell she is very passionate about her job and all the residents who live there. As we walked through the building on our tour, she greeted the residents she encountered by name, which really impressed me. Her main concern was taking the stress off of us, and doing everything she could to make sure that my dad would be well taken care of when he moved in. The facility itself is very bright and welcoming. When we walked through the front doors, it felt warm and homey, and I knew my dad would feel comfortable there. All the staff are very friendly. The day we moved my dad in, everyone came around and introduced themselves including Chris, Maintenance Director, who made sure that all was good with my dad’s suite. Telling us that if we needed anything to let him know. I felt that the staff who cared for my dad actually cared about him. Sometimes dealing with a person with dementia can be difficult, but the staff were always cheerful and dealt with him with compassion and understanding. Special mention to Gurmit on 2 South and Tracy, one of the entertainment coordinators, both who always went above and beyond. I was also impressed with the variety of activities and entertainment offered to the residents. There was always something going on. No reason to be bored. The residents can partake in as little or as much as they wanted. Although my dad’s stay at River Ridge II was only a few months (due to his placement becoming available), I will forever be grateful for our experience there.

Working with the lovely folks at River Ridge II has been amazing. I feel Chassity truly cares about the residents and their families. Her assistance with helping me, and my family has been like no other. We have been welcomed with open arms and know our loved ones are well looked after. I cannot thank her and the staff enough more making us feel at ease with making life changing family decisions that are truly the best option for us.
Our uncle was to be admitted into a Personal Care Home and at the last moment we were introduced to the Memory Care unit at River Ridge 2. The Lifestyle Director was very helpful and pleasant to work with during the admission process and continues to answer any questions we may have. Our uncle enjoys the modern facilities and is appreciative of the attention the staff give him for his needs. It is reassuring for us to know that the on-site nurses truly care about our uncle’s health and communicate any changes that occur. This is definitely a positive living arrangement for our uncle and we whole heartedly recommend this facility!
Staff is wonderful and caring! My dad moved in there because he wasn’t eating properly, wasn’t socializing very much, and was starting to have falls. It was a big relief to us to have him there and know someone was doing wellness checks on him 3 times a day. He was eating with other people and there are many events that take place to participate in. Later on he had to move into a memory unit there and the staff there on pod 1 were super nice and caring! The care is absolutely excellent! My only regret is that my dad didn’t want to move into River Ridge 2 when we first had a tour there. He woulda been there 2 years earlier and it would have been so beneficial for him to have been there earlier. Sometimes the older people can be a bit stubborn when it comes to their care. I would like to thank all the staff at River Ridge 2, especially the staff in pod 1 and of course Chassity for all their care and concern for my dad while he was there and who has now transitioned to a care home.
My mom just moved into River Ridge II a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. She is socializing and talking more with others, eating better, and receiving the much needed care that we were hoping for. The decision to move our mother to a facility outside of the family home was not made lightly however, I can see now that it was the right one. People like Chassity, Laney, Eric, Gurpreet, Lisa and so many others that are part of the team have made this step so much easier and understand the needs of their clients. Their professionalism and kindness has exceeded our expectations and hopes. Mom had her hair washed and blow dried in the salon today and yesterday enjoyed a concert with some of the other residents. We can visit whenever we want (which is often) and even take meals with her if we like. Thank you so much to everyone at River Ridge II for caring so much.
