A BIG Thank You to Port Credit Residences especially Jackie & Eva - 2 outstanding ladies! My Aunt has lived here for the last 4 years and now unfortunately she must move on to Long Term Care. I couldn't leave without telling other people how Fabulous this place is! Port Credit Residences has very friendly, caring and helpful staff that always try to do their very best! The residence is clean and welcoming and has lots of activities for the residents. The food is great and varied. And it's in a terrific location - so close to everything. I always felt peaceful & secure in knowing my aunt was well looked after between my weekly visits. Thanks again to all the Staff for all their hard work! :-)
Our mother lived for over six years in this most wonderful retirement home. I cannot say enough in praise of Port Credit Residences; a well run establishment. The staff at PRC are very caring and go above and beyond their job descriptions in making their residences feel at home and their families welcome. The staff became our friends; all of them from the ladies in the front office, to the reception desk, nurse practitioner, nursing staff, dining room, recreational staff and maintenance were all caring and helpful. The chefs prepare delicious, inventive meals every day. Special attention is always put forth in celebration of all calendar events. I want to give a word of thanks to Jackie and Eva who were our first contacts at PCR. We were convinced from the first meeting that we had made a good choice of retirement home for our mother. These ladies continued to be thoughtful and helpful throughout my mother’s stay. During the past few years dealing with Covid 19, strict protocols were put in place and adhered to. We all felt safe and protected. When it was time for my mother to move on to long term care recently, she was very sad to leave all her friends that she had made here. Our family can honestly say that our feelings about Port Credit Residences, as a great place to live, have not changed from the day we first visited, over six years ago. A sincere thank you to all.
My mom called PC Residences her home for 5 years. She first came to know the Residences while she was convalescing after a fall. She liked it so much that she decided to move in permanently. The staff are like family. There are a wide variety of activities available, regular entertainment such as musicians, the food is amazing and it's very close to the downtown of Port Credit. Although COVID-19 has impacted the social activities and outings that were available to the residents, the staff have continued to do their best in providing safe opportunities for the residents to participate in the activities they enjoy so much. Our family was always welcome when we visited and we had peace of mind knowing that mom was happy and thriving in such a warm and caring environment. We would highly recommend PC Residences to anyone looking for a retirement home.
In November, my mom had a heart attack and the doctor advised she needed a few weeks of respite. Mom picked the Port Credit Retirement Residences as it was close to her home and church. She had visited a cousin before at PCRR and was impressed with the building's brightness and the activities. My first impression meeting Eva and Jackie, in the sales and marketing office, was their sincerity and their focus on my mom's needs. The plan was mom would stay for only 4 weeks but, 2 weeks into her stay, mom said "The longer I stay here, the more I wonder why I'd want to move back home!" Over these 9 months my mom has been impressed with the friendliness of the residents, the many activities available and the tasty meals. If there is any concern with mom's health a nurse reports quickly to her room and offers a health check. My sister and I are happy to say our first impressions are now our lasting impressions! We highly recommend the Port Credit Retirement Residences!
