I recently had the pleasure of staying at Pagsanjan Falls Lodge and summer resort, and overall, it was a memorable experience. The lodge is set in a beautiful location with stunning views of lush greenery and the majestic Pagsanjan Falls. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, with the sounds of the river and nature surrounding the area, making it the perfect place for anyone looking to relax and unwind. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, offering a cozy retreat after a day of exploring the area. One of the highlights was the abundance of comfort rooms (restrooms) available around the property, making it easy to freshen up at any time. However, it’s worth noting that there is an extra charge for the comfort room in your cottage, which may catch you off guard. Additionally, electricity usage in the cottages is not included in the room rate, so you’ll need to pay separately for that as well. While these additional costs might be inconvenient for some, they didn’t significantly detract from my overall experience. The lodge itself is well-maintained, and the service was friendly and attentive. Despite the small extra fees, the breathtaking views, comfortable accommodations, and serene environment made it a great getaway. If you’re looking for a relaxing escape surrounded by nature, Pagsanjan Falls Lodge is a solid choice, just keep in mind the added costs for comfort rooms and electricity.
We went just to use the pool/s. It’s very clean and the water comes from the springs. Paid 100 peso pp on weekdays. Cottage was included.
I love there pool since it's running water and they replace it every night. Accommodation is comfortable, price is justifiable. We stayed in a room that can accommodate 8-10 person since it has bunked beds, what I don't like is they don't have any phones in that room so you can conviniently order from their menu.
The boat trip up to the main waterfall is spectacular! When you arrive at the waterfall definitely do the bamboo raft that goes beneath the waterfall into the cave as it's by far the most exciting part of the experience. I paid the bamboo boat guys 100 peso as a tip. Okay, so here's why it's only three stars, on returning back I gave the canoe boatmen a 580 peso tip which is a very generous tip and actually more than I tipped on the previous occasion a few months earlier and one of the boatmen demanded more! He was extremely ungrateful and his bad attitude ruined the experience for my friend and I. When I complained to the manager, he just shrugged and said some of their boatmen have bad attitudes - sorry not good enough especially after paying 5000 peso for the experience! It was $4500 a few months earlier.
