A Concerning Experience – Please Do Your Research I want to share our difficult experience with Orchard Manor. My father was meant to stay for longer, but after just under a week, he rapidly declined. We took him home, but he was so unwell, paramedics later admitted him to A&E with dehydration and malnutrition. 25 days later, he sadly passed away. We were shocked by his condition, as he had been in good health before entering the facility, with a recent check-up at home by his GP. Despite reassurances, the level of care was not what we had expected. For example, help with feeding and drinking was limited, and the bed was poor quality, sagging in the middle - and then we found it hadn’t even been made up. The food quality did not match what was promised on the menu. When we asked about the condition in which we found him, including new bruises, no clear explanation was given. When we reached out to the general manager, the phone was put down mid-conversation, adding to an already stressful situation. Follow-up emails were also ignored. Overall, I feel it’s important that families carefully consider their options before choosing this care home for their loved ones. *Please note, the majority of positive Google reviews are posted by their own management and staff.

What a wonderful home with such lovely caring staff. The bedrooms are extremely well equipped. The grounds are extensive. There are plenty of activities for the residents to participate in. The food menu is extremely generous with a great variety of choices. I could not have chosen a better home for my mother and step father.
What an absolute fabulous home, beautiful on approach, the entrance to the home warm and welcoming, team could not to more to help and were clearly happy. The home was clear without clutter, Residents engaging in social activity throughout the visit, the home is full of smiles and happiness.
Absolutely love this beautiful built home surrounded by stunning views and wildlife. So happy to have all the stuff together from a previous outstanding home where the care and love they gave for so many years can continue!
Orchard Manor is a lovely luxury care home with beautiful gardens for all of the residents and their relatives to enjoy. The home is full of dedicated staff and incredible residents, I would highly recommend Orchard Manor as both a place of work and residence!
