My Father-in-law spent his last precious years in the care of Townsend Manor and we cannot thank them enough. Several members of staff built an amazing relationship with him and made him comfortable right up to his final moments. His multiple young children were always made to feel welcome which really made it feel like a home for him and the rest of the familiy.

Cannot praise Sarah Ward and her staff highly enough. During a recent crisis they went above and beyond what anyone could expect. Sarah's kindness and understanding made a difficult situation much easier and after a stay in hospital, my 94 year old mother is safely back in the care of Townsend Manor. Many, many thanks to all concerned.
My grandmother moved into Townsend in January. It's a beautiful building and everything started brilliantly, but I don't think there are safe levels of care any more; my grandmother has rung home twice just this last month, distraught because no one answers the buzzer in the mornings. Because she has a history of heart problems, that's terrifying. Often there's no one to help her shower in the mornings either, so she can't. Lots of staff have left, but more residents are arriving, and even though all the carers are absolutely lovely and trying their best, lots of things are slipping through the gaps now. It doesn't seem to matter how often my family raises concerns with management -- nothing changes. I worry about her all the time. If she falls ill and calls for a carer, I don't know any more if anyone will come in time.
It’s actually a very good place for adult with disabilities. The staff there are very good, diligent and supportive. The environment is also a very good one
Patronising management they think they own the place.
