Ridgewell Ave, Chelmsford CM1 2GA, United Kingdom
I cannot recommend this care home at all and I would completely advise everyone reading this to avoid the nursing care as much as possible. Unfortunately my mum was placed here by social services, not even given the chance to look around beforehand. This nursing home was completely to blame for the cause of my mum‘s death. 7 days prior to her passing we asked for a doctor to visit, chased every day after, they never requested a doctor and my mother ending up going by ambulance and died that night. I witnessed many times the substandard care and was horrible to watch my mother suffer there. Due to the sudden death safeguarding issues raised up by social services and they continue to investigate. Please if you have a family member that requires care avoid this home at all costs.

Excellent care! Our Mother has been staying here for over 6 months now. The staff are extremely caring toward her and other residents and treat them with the respect and humanity they deserve. The staff team work well together and are always upbeat and positive which to be honest is very refreshing in todays times where no one seems to care about anything anymore. Wanting to ensure Mum had the best, we had tried a few homes in Chelmsford and this was by far the best. We are very happy to have found your care home. Thank you guys :)
My mother-in-law stayed at Admirals Reach for a month for end of life care. They were welcoming, so caring and understanding. They care for residents as though it is their actual home and they take a personal interest in their residents and look after them with dignity. They are all very compassionate. Thank you for caring for my mother-in-law so well. The food was so enticing too! We would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for home from home nursing care.
My mother has Dementia and has been in Admirals Reach for 2months. The staff and management are lovely and kind. It is always well staffed and they are so helpful, any issues are addressed quickly. It is easy to criticise Care homes, this one is a ‘bit tired’ but bottom line, my mother is happy, cheerful, clean and looks well.
Having been a resident for respite care I can honestly say the care was excellent from the domestic team all the way up to the management. Respect works both ways and if visitors are rude or to demanding then maybe they should telephone instead. I've seen very rude visitors and told them to go outside and come back in and leave their problems at the door .I'm 57 and paraplegic and I'm very happy to work with the staff so that I don't put them out .
