My mother was at Markhaven for about a year, overall we felt like she received good care. I don’t have very many good things to say about Doctor Curry, I felt like she was cold and unfeeling, she didn’t seem to care how she communicated with myself or my husband. Doctor Curry was unprofessional in leaving me a voicemail with important information about my mother’s health which should never have been left in a message, she then went on vacation for three weeks leaving us with having to digest that information with no communication for almost a month.It was very upsetting and unprofessional. Most of the nurses were lovely, I feel like they loved my mother which was so reassuring and wonderful to see I give the staff so much credit and gratitude Thank you! I did encounter one extremely rude head nurse when I came in to sign paperwork about my mother’s wheelchair, her break was interrupted and she wouldn’t shut up about it. Markhaven was a good place for my mother, she loved the nurses and so did we. Thank you ❤️

Absolute terrible team. Terrible HR and management. Cannot get a proper answer for any question. This person Jonathan wadding ton that works there has an absolutely terrible attitude towards clients. The building maintenance is poor. They do things half way and try to get away with poor service. The nurses that were taking great care of my family members,I heard were let go for obnoxious reasons. They seem to just let go of all their good employees and keep the ones w/ terrible customer service skills. I couldn’t get my family member out other sooner.
Didn’t like the way that the PSW was handling care to my sister. Walked in just to realize how shambolic this place operates. One of the care giver who came in didn’t even acknowledge that I was here, she walked by and ignored me. How shame this is! I have arrived on a late afternoon this other day to check in on her and to my surprise to see this new male nurse was running the floor on a very hectic day that we didn’t even get a chance to see him until later, came in and apologized to us for the wait which I have never seen this from any of the previous staff I have dealt with and not only did he came to assist me with my concerns but went out of his way to bring us chairs since I came with my son in law and daughter that evening. He provided us a lot of health information in regards to the diabetes crisis that my mom was going through. Her sugars have been fluctuating recently and so we were bringing her food. This place gets pretty busy on early afternoons so we couldn’t even find parking. Also, They need to clean up the space cause it’s not the first time I come in to hear about falls while caregivers haven’t been around for support either.
My mother was in Markhaven for nearly 3 years. I have nothing but good for the staff and office people. I had a couple of complaints which were quickly dealt with, and professionally. I could go in any time and stayed as long as I wanted. I'm very happy to recommend this facility. I liked the small complex, which had large windows in the rooms, and even the shared rooms were very private.
Staff that give everything; heart, soul, devotion to our beautiful residents at Markhaven. Nothing but respect for my home and our staff.
