Soothill Ln, Batley WF17 6EZ, United Kingdom
My wife works here, and I go in frequently with our 7 year old son because it really is a community hub and great place to visit. Our most recent visit was for the Coronation of King Charles III, and as always the staff and residents had put a lot of effort into preparing the home for the enjoyment of the residents and visitors. Everyone seemed to be having a lovely time, most residents came to see the singer perform classic songs from the past and families visiting with kids had plenty to keep them occupied with a tombola, photo booth, games and face painting plus a nice selection of food and drink for all ages. Our 7 year old loves to go in and chat to the residents, they love the company and he loves his 'older friends' - it's always a really positive experience and the staff are always please to see him engaging with the residents too.

The management only care about money. I tried to get my dad in here who as dementia and can play up sometimes so with work 2 minutes away and home 10 minutes away at most would have being ideal if I needed to get there quick. Myself and my dad don't have much in the way of saving so ask management at Lydgate if they could help was not interested. So now iv managed to get him in at a home in Meanwood which is an hour there and an hour back for me my mum as not got a clue were to go. So instead of weekly visits from my family or me he might be lucky if he gets a visit once a month. So thanks for your help management at Lydgate greatly appreciated.
A brilliant home from home care home. Staff really do care about the people who live there. Rooms are spotless at all times. Food is good with a good choice at all meals. Entertainment/hair dresser/ church services and lots more are all provided free. Well worth a look if you are looking for a safe environment for a loved one.
Did an event here today 17/06/25 (Ryans Street Food)... first impression when I walked in to the home was very good, very clean and fresh. All the staff were very friendly and inviting. From what I saw it is very person centered when it comes to caring for the residents.
