It's a nice retirement home indeed. Excellent and friendly staff.
Having a cup of coffee with people enjoying LIFE......Priceless!!!
Secure and friendly staff Thank you for the great care and humility staff are exposing our elder
My husband applied 4 years ago. He collected the application form, completed and signed it and went back to hand it in with all the required supporting documents. To date we have not had any response whatsoever! So what happened to his application??? Did it end up in the dustbin or simply vanish into thin air. As a Sassa pensioner my husband cannot afford to pay the exorbitant fees charged at private retirement homes. I lost my job last year due to Covid and I am struggling to find work. Family members are paying for our accommodation but cannot do so indefinitely. Time is running out for us. Are we also to end up in the dustbin or vanish into thin air.
They need proper care as the centre has no management to look after the elderly people and they do not follow the Covid regulations. People do not belong thete as they are not pensioners and there are a lot of illegal people staying there and this has been aproblem for many years .Money talks under the counter ad a lot of people staying there do not have the legal papers to be there.unfortunately this is not been sorted out due to the Coruption in the housing department at the A N C run council very sad as this was meant to be for residents who have lived in the Roodepoort area but if you have money you can come from anywhere in the country even if you are not a SASSA pension fund receptionist you can even run a business from there .The Ward Councillor that has taken over from the Best councillor this Ward ever had was Suzanne Clark she is not able to do anything as she does not care .Down with the D A i have lived in Roodepoort for 66 years and this ward 83 has gone to a slum area. The DA must be removed as also the A N C run council.
