Appalling care home, if I could have scored 0 points I would have. The then manager Helen Fowler was completely immature, unapproachable and ignorant when we raised constant and very numerous concerns about our Mum’s care when she was a resident there. Items going missing from her room, falls, unchecked health issues, flooding in the room and even an incident where our mum with severe dementia wandered out of the home and into Pudsey town centre on her own. Our experience was that they were constantly understaffed and the residents where left unattended and unsupervised constantly. We had to make a formal complaint to the head office and get the area manager involved to deal with our complaint’s. My family couldn’t wait to get our Mum out of there, which fortunately, we eventually did and she is a lot more settled now. There are plenty of other care homes around that are also a lot cheaper than Hutton Manor and the care is in a different class. We have since been informed that the management has changed so we hope for any residents and their families that things have improved though we fear sadly that they won’t have done. This is not an attack directed at the actual caregivers as I know how short staffed they were and how hard they work. It is directed at the poor management and the terrible care service that big corporate care companies offer to unsuspecting families, and let’s not forget your loved ones actual pay for the privilege of being treat so terribly.

This care home is amazing. It's Iike a 5 star hotel. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and chatty and they are doing a great job oozing after.my brother. Emma the events coordinator is amazing and we love all events that she does and we r trying to get my brother involved more if we can Keep up the good work and thanks for looking after my brother
After leaving a fantastic review about this place when my mum had not been In this home very long I now feel I need people to know a few truths about this home. Please don't be fooled by the beautiful decor. The staff are only bothered about residents who they favour. My mum left there earlier this year and I can honestly say the care she gets now is by far a higher standard. The staff in hutton Manor who organise activities certainly have there favourites. They save seats for there own family members who turn up late to summer/christmas fairs for example. I witnessed entertainment staff not giving residents who's faces didn't fit without a drink or a biscuit but made sure there own family members had what they needed. One of the office staff members was very rude on numerous occasions. You wait ages to be let in to visit which tells me they have something to hide. Look at other homes and see past the decor.
All that glitters is not gold! I was definitely taken in by the beautiful surroundings and didn’t investigate the quality of care in Hutton Manor. The standard of care leaves a lot to be desired and run in my opinion on minimal staff. I noted with interest that all of the good/ positive reviews were left by staff, this should not be allowed as it gives a false representation. I took my Uncle out of this place and found him a far more satisfactory care home. All l would say is “ buyer beware “.
Unfortunately I did not have a good experience. It look fabulous on first impressions, but unfortunately the care was not up to the same standard. My mother was left with drinks beyond her reach and tablets found on the floor on two occasions. Other incidents also occurred. I moved my mother to another home and on the same day as the move she was admitted to hospital with a severe urine infection, she passed away just 2 weeks later.
