If.you want your elderly loved one to be doped up on oxy to keep then compliant then this is the place for you. Hope the psw's care for your parents? Not here. And if you voice your concern they'll ban you from visiting your parents. Which is illegal. But they don't care as long as the cheque's clear!!! The worst kind of evil works in this place. Stay well away from here.

My father was taken care of by the wonderful and caring staff at Hillsdale Terraces for over 2 years, before he passed away. I cannot say enough good things about the care that he received while he was there. The PSWs, Nurses, Food Service Workers and everyone else there did everything they could to make my father feel at home. The maintenance staff was continually cleaning and doing both necessary and proactive maintenance in the facility and on the grounds. They were also regularly doing upgrades to continuously improve the level of care they can provide. I would recommend Hillsdale Terraces to anyone who is thinking of moving there.
Hillsdale Terrace is simply beautiful. Any of the staff that we encountered were very compassionate. My Mom was in there on the Cedar Heights unit and we couldn't of asked for more caring loving compassionate staff for or for us as well.Crystal, Amber and Katie made us feel at home as well as everyone else. Thank you so much for all you did for Our Mom Betty Hachey she is now watching over you.🙏
My mother had been there a year. The facility is new and clean. The staff are excellent! Incredibly nice and willing to help my mother is lucky!
I'm sad to see all of the negative reviews, because I just spent 4 days there 24/7 while my grandmother was crossing over and the staff were nothing but amazing and do not deserve the reviews posted here. My grandmother was placed here in 2010 and has lived here for 11 years (on Ocean View) because of her alzheimers and some other ailments. For years I worried that her quality of life was poor due to her alzheimers and being confined to a long term care facility, but my experience with her and staying with her at Hillsdale Terraces at the end of her life has made me feel so comforted. To start with, the staff, no matter which area/unit they were working in, seemed to know her. Even the person doing the COVID screening at the door knew her, the housekeeping staff, staff from other units, etc. She had staff constantly coming to her room to visit with her and say goodbye when they heard that she was on her final journey. Many of them sat with our family and told stories about her time at hillsdale, and I was absolutely blown away to learn that she had actually built this rich life and these relationships with staff and other patients that we were unaware of, having only visited during daytime hours and for a couple of hours at a time. The staff were also diligent in their care, turning and repositioning her every 2 hours, doing good oral care (very important for the dying person), washing her, providing her with pain and respiratory management, and ensuring that she was comfortable in her final days. At times the only way she would respond was if one of her favourite staff stopped in to say hello. The staff also provided for our family, allowing us to essentially move in with her, providing us meals from the kitchen, and tea/coffee/cookies/snacks from a cart kept in my grandmother's room. I overheard much of the daily care for the other residents as well, which seemed to be thoughtfully and respectfully carried out. After my grandmother passed, the nurse who confirmed prior to the doctor pronouncing it cried and told us that my grandmother had been her favourite. They also arranged a "Walk of the Angel" ceremony as my grandmother left her home of 11 years for the final time, with staff coming to provide a procession and quilting ceremony. My family was deeply touched by this and made to feel that she really mattered and made an impact at Hillsdale. Prior to spending this time at Hillsdale, I thought it was a higher quality facility, but just a nursing home. But after spending so much time there I've come to realize that Hillsdale Terraces was a home, a place where the staff really care for and grow attached to our loved ones, and a place where our loved ones might just be cultivating a life as meaningful as the one that they had when they were more independent. I am so grateful for the care provided. Thank you!
