We have just moved in and find residents and staff extremely friendly. The meals are very good with many options. They have a multitude of activities from which you can plan a very satisfying day. The choices range from a variety of exercises, cultural programs to discussions, movies, visits both in and out of the city. There is a dedicated medical staff here should an emergency arise or a health problem We are finding living here most enjoyable and are very happy to have chosen Hazelton Place Retirement Residence. It often feel like we are on a cruise without the ship. Come visit Hazelton Place which is in the centre of the city close to shopping, museums, symphonies, ballet and theatre.
It was a big change for us as my husband and I moved to Hazelton Place from Montreal to be closer to our family. Our suite is just beautiful as we brought our own furniture which made it very homely. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. The food is very good, the chef trying to accommodate to the needs of the many food demands. I would definitely recommend Hazelton Place to others who are looking for retirement homes.
I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with the team at Hazelton Place. The professionalism, kindness and compassion we were shown during our first tour and follow-up calls as we waited for placement for an ageing parent was greatly appreciated. Leslie took the time to get to know us and understand what we were looking for in a retirement residence and she made us feel like family. Hazelton Place is centrally located, each room in the common areas is beautifully appointed and they offer a wide range of activities and services. We were very impressed.
Hazelton was the perfect place for my father. The intake team was so helpful and reachable in the handling of all the details of our move-in process including all the choices. We chose a large suite which proved to serve as a perfect middle ground from the house he was used to, it felt like an apartment. The nursing staff was incredible, friendly, attentive, they took over all the details of medications and treatments that had been so difficult for us to manage at home. They were always kind and attentive to changes we needed to make as his condition progressed. He made connections in the dining experiences both new and old, the staff there too was attentive to adjustments to suit his tastes. It was also easy to integrate the government funded supports in to the flow with the Hazelton staff. I would highly recommend the Hazelton experience. It provided the best environment for him to recover and for us to get the support we needed as his caregivers when the situation exceeded our ability to meet his needs at home.
