We went for the Easter Hunt and it was fantastic! It was so well organized, all the kids got chocolate and they didn’t run out! The crafts were fun and easy! They had the cutest little baby animals to see and hold. We got to chat with a few of the residents there which was really nice! Absolutely would recommend for the next holiday!

My daughter and I did had a great experience at the Easter event this past weekend, she loved meeting the Easter bunny, doing the egg hunt, having her face painted and seeing the animals. The snacks were great, loved the Mini eggs in the popcorn and nice to have the hot dogs if you needed a bit more to eat. Your place always puts on great events that we have been to a few times and we really appreciate all of the effort that goes into creating and executing events for families. Thank you for all of the hard work that the staff put into these events, staff are always so kind and friendly when we go, keep up the great work!!!
My family attended the Easter event on Saturday and I wanted to share our wonderful experience. This is our third time attending an event at Guelph Lake Commons and we always have a fun time. The event on Saturday was well organized with plenty of craft stations and the kids were able to be outside with the nice weather hunting eggs. The staff are super friendly and always go out of their way to attend to all the guests. Such a well done job and thank you so much for everything you do for the community. I highly recommend you to people I know. The Craddock family
I’ve attended multiple events at this location and have always had a wonderful experience with my family. From the face painting, crafts, and games to the adorable animal guests, there’s so much thought and care that goes into every detail. I know the volunteer who brings the animals and does the face painting personally, and I can say with full confidence that animal welfare is a top priority for her. She is incredibly kind, responsible, and attentive—not just to the animals, but to every child and family that attends. It’s disappointing to see such a harsh take on something that so many people put their heart and time into. The animals are well-monitored, treated with respect, and kept comfortable throughout the event. I’ve seen the team in action, and they are always on top of making sure the environment is safe and positive for everyone involved. If there were genuine concerns, the team would’ve absolutely stepped in to help—because that’s just the kind of people they are. These events aren’t easy to pull off, especially with excited kids and live animals, but they’re done with love, passion, and a whole lot of care. Thank you to all the volunteers who make these events possible. I’ll continue supporting and attending because they bring joy to so many families in our community.
This review is in response to Robyn's review. Thanks for your feedback. While I am glad you liked the building, I am disappointed to hear your take on the Easter event. While I have done over a dozen of these events with not only this home but other neighborhood groups within the community. I take animal welfare incredibly seriously—every animal was monitored, and our team (all of whom volunteer their time, by the way) worked hard to ensure a safe and positive environment for both the animals and the children. We took careful consideration, even putting the animals away from the public prior to the event being over. We always welcome genuine concerns, but your description feels a bit exaggerated. If you had serious worries, we would’ve appreciated you bringing them to a volunteer or staff member directly instead of waiting to post online a day or so later. We’re always happy to step in and help—that’s what we’re here for. Organizing family events with live animals and dozens of excited kids is no small feat, but they do it with love, care, and a whole lot of heart. I stand by the effort the team put in, and while I’m sorry this event wasn’t to your liking, I will continue volunteering (Face painting and Animal Guests) and helping, doing my best for those who come with kindness, curiosity, and a little grace. Wishing you the best.
