My mom has been at GBSL for nearly a year. She has had wonderful, round the clock care by very caring people. A big shout out to the staff in the memory care wing who go above in many ways. Vicky and Shane are a husband and wife team and the 1st people my mom met there last September. They really have made her feel comfortable, and they make her laugh. They help her call her family, even on their personal cell phones. GBSL has just finished some major renovations and now my mom gets to enjoy the newly renovated wing with her own tv. Note; I am including some photos of the new wing. I will post pictures of the rooms when I visit in a few days.

This newly renovated memory care neighbourhood is amazing. The residents are happy and living life to the fullest even with cognitive impairments. Love the staff!
Unbelievable undesirable for your emotional support that management can call all staff thieves neglect when the residents are all knowinglytreated with neglect & feel stuck there life jail, no calls allowed bo one answers the phone Rook a very hard toll on not only me but 12 other staff in 1 yr to quit for the 2 lifer staff upstairs with their nose up there 2 nite staff who are sneaky who Dont even want to be a psw, hires through the kitchen before then a housekeeping then has no idea to be a psw training & clean a colostomy, 2nd most horrific employment in my life they can spend all their money on renovations all they want
My sister was placed there by her devious daughter who is now enjoying her bank account. They refuse my sister to use the phones and this week, she is no longer able to receive visits from her other daughter. This is elder abuse at its best! What steps can be taken to get my sister out of that hell hole.
I have been part of the Georgian Bay Seniors Lodge family for 6 years, I have seen so much positivity and growth here in our home! I am very happy for the milestone that is happening right now for our Memory Care
