Awaiting a plan to stop their suppliers' 18 wheel trucks from using the sidewalk and jamming traffic, 50 metres from a school! Attached is my second letter to Fairview Village, after many calls and requests to their food supplier who drives 18 wheel, forty foot trucks into the school safety zone and 1800's neighbourhood of Beaconsfield, right downtown! Awaiting a plan to stop this unsafe, and un-neighbourly, almost daily practice and will update the review as soon as it stops... Attn: management Schlegel Villages, Fairview Nursing Home, 14 Cross St., Toronto. Subject: What is it going to take to have this unsafeness stop? Hi Michelle and please forward this to management, your Sysco delivery drivers are as sick as all of your neighbors are, of these unsafe incursions to the sidewalk, damaging of local landscaping, and generally unsafe driving. You have been alerted to our concerns, as have the management of Sysco. Please be the responsible neighbors that you generally are, and put them on notice that you will use another supplier if they continue to send this size of truck. As a local teacher I find this egregiously unsafe and will take this to the next level if you don't get back to me with a plan to make it stop. You have an easy option to force their hand. And this company has been on public notice about this issue for several years. I can provide the paper trail if helpful Sincerely, Stephen RESPONSE: Hi Stephen, My name is Saurabh Bhatnagar and I am the General Manager at Fairview Nursing Home, and thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will do the needful and speak to our supplier in regards to this. I do apologize for any inconvenience caused by this to yourself and to the local neighbors, we always hope and aim to work along and live along harmoniously with our local community and will strive to continue to do so. Sincerely Saurabh

My Mom entered Fairview 4 months ago, a transition we all dreaded. Happily, it has turned out to be the best we could have hoped for! The staff is so sweet and attentive and Mom is always well looked after. Her shared room is small but all she needs, with a really lovely view of a beautiful tree that she can see from her bed. Mom has enjoyed being taken out to the garden, but spends most of her time in the main area with the other residents. We are always greeted enthusiastically by staff, and the residents on Mom’s floor all seem to be kept with something to do. We are so grateful for everyone at Fairview!
I posted a review on Fairview Nursing Home 8 months ago, in rather glowing terms, and I stand by my words. The kind, caring & dedicated workers at Fairview deserve all the support we can give them! Visiting my sister the other day, I met a new staff member. She treated my sister with kindness and dignity! I mumbled something like: Thank you for your gentle soul. Unfortunately, also while there, there were a number of red flags to be addressed. My sister asked if she could get a cup of water, we could hear the staff chatting away maybe 10 feet from as it took nearly 15 minutes for someone to help out this resident of their "home." No resident should be reduced to begging to get a small cup of water. You would not believe the long arduous process it took to her to a dentist. With regards to how family members are treated at Fairview, it is nearly identical to how residents are treated. One staffer screamed at me saying covid lockdown, and I should not visit, who was overuled when she made a phone call.
wow. they are the best. I was a student there. they are caring and loveing team. they give the best service to their residance. for students, good place to get good exprience. I recomanded to choose their placment in fairview to become the best. specially first floor and weekend evening, I do have a word to express you. you are the best of the best. they ever say my residant . they say "our residant'. GOD bless you. I will never forget you ever. thank you fairview team to all of you for you give me a chance to build my confidence!!👏👏👏👏
Horrible nursing home. MOST staff do not treat the elderly living there properly. If your loved one has alzheimer's please do not pick this location. You will see a major decline in their health. If you try to speak about it with the office, they'll tell you that maybe you should find a different home if you're not happy. If i could go back i would have NEVER placed my loved one here. Theres zero respect. Also if you ask if your loved one ate or not they may or may not give you the right information. I got many time "i don't know". As we all know you never say you don't know.
