Last night my Mum rang my sister and I to say she couldn’t cope in her sheltered accomodation anymore - two long term health conditions having been aggravated by a recent fall. This morning I drove down from London - and called Bupa on the way to confirm availability. We talked to my Mum at 10 - she was assessed at Stoke Druid at 1.30 and ‘admitted’ at 3. All this done on 30th December - when lots of BUPA staff (on whom this process would normally rely) were off. I’d like to thank the staff at Stoke Druid - everyone we met was busy - but took time out to be welcoming and kind. Imelda in particular did an amazing job - she made everything happen. Thank you !

My Mother moved into Druid Stoke in November. She has had her ups and downs settling as would be expected but I have to say the attention, friendliness and empathy shown by staff here is first class. The home it’s self is very clean and in a great location in Bristol. On my visits I am always made to feel welcome and included in meetings. The manager Keley Scott is hands on and makes us all involved. It seems a very happy environment here. We visited with our classic cars to show the residents. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. There were smiles all round which made the visit very special for us. We would definitely be happy to show our car to the residents again (please let us visit again :) ). The ladies who organised for us to be there were absolutely lovely.
Lovely, well led care home. Worked nights for 3 years and made lovely friends (left to learn new skills in slightly different field). I'd be happy if my family had to stay at the home i say this because I know they would be cared for not just physically but mentally, staff work well together which is good for the residents. Home is clean and nicely furnished and beautiful gardens. Only issue I had as a member of staff, was the Rota, which I know can't always be helped but Boss will do best he can to be fair.
A lovely building nestled on a quiet leafy lane. The staff I met were warm and welcoming, and went out of their way to insure I was looked after during my visit.
