All I can say is WOW. When you arrive at Deerview Crossing it is just like you are entering into a palace-so warm, classy and inviting! Frank S gave us a phenomenal experience on our tour-he was very honest, down to earth and he is simply an unforgettable human being! He asked what our specific care needs were for my Grandmother (whose name he remembered from our phone conversation). He showed us and explained in detail every great part of their facility (which was gorgeous and in impeccable condition)..and the costs associated with having more care needs in a retirement residence environment. We felt respected, welcomed and super informed about Deerview Crossing by the time the tour wrapped up. Frank then followed up with us at a time that was convenient and agreed upon.. and was not pushy or sales driven. In fact my Gram went into the hospital shortly after our tour and was a non-candidate for Retirement Living after all-but Frank called about three times to ask how my Gram was doing in the hospital, if we needed any assistance at all or if Deerview Crossing could help our family in any way. One more thing..I was blown away by the way Frank knew EVERY RESIDENTS NAME and the expressions of joy on the faces of the residents when we passed by them. He knew what made them laugh, their likes and dislikes, family members names…This man is the Gold Standard representative of this Home-we felt like family already without question at Deerview. I 100% recommend living here-go see Frank! Thank you for your fantastic service, we couldn’t have asked for better care and guidance in our time of need. My mother came to Deerview at age 90 having been widowed. I was concerned about her transition as she has sever macular degeneration. She had a wonderful 4 years here having the independence of her own suite but the support of the staff when needed. I found the staff very caring and compassionate. I would not hesitate to recommend Deerview to others
I moved my husband to the secure memory care unit in March 2024. It has been a wonderful experience. He has blossomed in this warm, friendly environment. He has spent summer afternoons on the patio and enjoyed eating delicious, nutritious meals on the balcony. The Bistro is also a favorite spot for fresh homemade cookies and enjoying regular scheduled entertainment and pet visits. Staff are all helpful and caring of the residents needs. Nursing staff and doctor visits are all on site, a bonus not having to arrange outside visits!! Thank you Deerview.
I'm a resident on the memory care unit and think the staff do a wonderful job helping with my care. I love the live music, entertainment, the bistro and library. My pescatarian diet requirements are prepared with the finest gourmet, fresh veggies, fish, quiche etc. A big thank you to "Terri Ryckman" the Lifestyle & Programs manager for the fun programs, entertainment, visits with her dog Nash and providing a bus ride to my appointment. She is loving caring individual.
My sister is a resident at Deerview Crossing. There are memory issues that apparently run in the family, regretfully she was afflicted earlier than most. She is very mobile but can't care for her own needs like preparing meals and taking her medication etc. She was welcomed at Deerview by a tremendous staff that started with the leadership in Michael and Frank. The everyday staff and those that are part of Esther's team are over the top. They interact with my sister continuously keeping her stimulated and engaged. They assist with regular "cell phone and TV issues" and have made her part of their team allowing her to help with social events, and encouraging her to motivate other residents. Administratively I get notices relating to residence issues including Covid procedures and changes to the standard operating procedures on a regular basis. Esther e-mails invoices several days ahead of the billing date, they are always complete and easy to read. All charges are clearly marked. The nursing staff are on the ball and give me plenty of notice when I need to bring in vitamins etc..... as well as monitoring any changes in my sister's condition. This review wouldn't be complete without mentioning the Head Chef Joan and her staff. The meals are tremendous and she runs a tight ship. Her attention to detail, her care and compassion for the residents is her passion. She runs many special events always with great treats. Given the circumstances Deerview has been a God send. I provide these comments to those now struggling with a difficult family decision, as we were.
