My elderly aunt moved to Clair Hills a month ago and we are beyond pleased with the move. The building itself is well maintained and welcoming the minute you step through the front door. The food is restaurant quality rather than cafeteria style. The Residence is well managed along with excellent staff with no exceptions. From our first contact with John (sales) to Trina (GM), Arvinder and Li Anne (wellness), Dr W (first doctor to listen since hospital admission 6 months ago) to nursing staff, Amber (maintenance), cleaning staff and restaurant staff, everyone has been not only efficient and welcoming but clearly happy in their workplace.

We are so very happy with our experience at Clair Hills! My mother moved in in early July of this year (2024) and from the very beginning, there has been kindness, excellent care and communication and a very warm welcome for residents and caregivers alike. The medical Team is truly excellent and very responsive...it is so reassuring to be able to reach out to Li-Anne with questions and concerns. Mom's Caregivers are kind and caring and prompt, and the Dining Room Team and Chef Joey are superb and the food is delicious. Jane and the Team at the Front Desk are wonderful and always helpful, and Amber made sure Mom's new apartment was renovated beautifully and ready for her arrival. Thank you to John as well for his warm welcome and tours and for helping us to navigate Mom's move. And Christine, Daniel and Terra are also wonderful as the Activities Team...so fun and kind and caring. The programming is so interesting too. Housekeeping is very good too and Mom's apartment is always sparkling and Bruce is so kind and can fix anything. As a family navigating this very vulnerable stage for Mom, we are thrilled with the Custom Care the Team at Clair Hills provides. It is very reassuring, especially after our previous mixed experience with a Retirement Residence in Toronto. Thank you to ALL at Clair Hills (forgive me if I've left anyone out) for working so hard to create a caring and warm, welcoming environment and for meeting Mom's needs beyond our expectations!
This is a classy looking place with friendly staff. During my short visit 4people dropped in to care for my step mother. The lunch looked delicious and came out very quickly. The rooms are bright and spacious and there is a lot of room in the halls and foyer. Modern and classic all in one!
My elderly mother lived at Clair Hills Retirement Residence for the last six years of her life. She was able to "age in place" with dignity, thanks to the help of the attentive, compassionate and professional staff. When my mom had to transition from using a walker to being in a wheelchair, we were able to add to her care plan to include a portering service so she could still attend her meals in the dining hall and any activities. My mom was a Roman Catholic, and she enjoyed the weekly Catholic masses, and the prayer group; she also liked the weekly musical performances in the foyer and the evening movies broadcast in the theatre. In the last year of her life, my mom needed a lot of hands-on care, and we were able to get her needs met through a combination of Paramed staff (funded through the province), and support from the personal support workers and nursing staff at Clair Hills. My siblings and I all live out of province, and it was the staff that rearranged her apartment for us, when mom needed a hospital bed installed in her suite. Last month, Mom passed away peacefully at Clair Hills at the age of 92, with her children at the bedside, and in the attractive environment of her apartment at the retirement home, surrounded by all her things - the photos, art, awards - that were meaningful to me. The staff at Clair Hills were always supportive and solution-focused about any problem, and I really cannot praise them enough for their excellent service. I am a family doctor by training, and my siblings and I used to joke that Clair Hills retirement home is a hospital disguised as a high end hotel. If you have a loved one with complex medical needs, this retirement home can make sure they get the care they need, in a pleasant and stimulating environment with lots of young staff who genuinely care about the quality of their day to day. In the end, they felt like family to us. Thanks for everything! Sincerely Michele, Ken, and Christina
Clair Hills is amazing! We had a whirlwind of a time with moving my parents into a lovely apartment there then having to deal with the decline of my Father. They have wonderful support from Jason in the restaurant dining , Trina in management , Paula at the front reception, Amber for tech support and Li Anne in health and wellness. Everyone is friendly and supportive . The dining and activities are amazing. It becomes a home away from home. They have a heated pool and the great grandkids came and went swimming with grandma on a visit. They let us have a 69th wedding anniversary party 3 days after my parents moved in. My parents adjusted so quickly to the new surroundings. I can’t say enough about the staff and the welcoming place that Clair hills is. Thankyou from our whole family .
