Had the opportunity to be a vendor with Chartwell Churchill House over the holiday season and absolutely had a blast with everyone! My name is Bobby Bacchus. I have the privilege of performing at Chartwell Churchill in North Vancouver on a regular basis. It is a great way to spend an afternoon. The residents are lovely and the recreation staff headed by Sue Carabetta are spot on. They have the majority of residents dancing to the great tunes of yesteryear. It's very special to witness. The power of music and how it brings life back into everyone is a remarkable thing. Keep up the great work, Sue, and I look forward to my next performance.
I have had the pleasure of facilitating drumming with the residents of Churchill House for over 2 years now. The residents and staff are such a happy bunch. From the time you walk in , the staff are very welcoming, professional and accommodating. Residents have mentioned how impressed they are with the activities that are provided for them, describing it as being on a cruise - except they are not out to sea! It seems a very happy place for seniors to live. I just met Sue who is the new program manager - she has a beautiful bubbly energy and I look forward to working with her.
