This place is beautiful! Went in for an interview. From the receptionist to the CNAs to the interviewer, were very nice. I did see the need for extra staff, but saw 2 nurses say kindly, "we'll figure it out", and walked towards their hallway which is the kind of teamwork I like to see. The place doesn't smell. Everything is new, spacious. Wasn't there enough to notice anything negative. I didn't see staff sitting around doing nothing like some reviews say.

Beware! This place has no right to be treating these people this way. They neglect their residents, they lie to you so much when trying to move in about things they provide and how our family member will be happy here which is a total lie. The few people I have spoken with are miserable and wanna get out but the management con their families into them staying. I have seen neglect first hand with the upstairs smelling like weed, the aids sitting around ignoring their residents, management always gone, activities is basically them doing nothing but playing bingo and watching movies and nursing sitting in their office and being loud and rude to residents and their families. Please don't bring your family here! I beg you to stay away they don't care about anybody but themselves!
When my Mother needed more help than our family could provide, we moved her to Brooklyn Pointe. From the beginning, we were impressed with the friendly staff, the cleanliness of the building, the quality of care provided by the nursing staff and aides, and the overall feel of being in a quality home. My Mother passed away at this facility, and we could not ask for more care and compassion than we received from the staff.
The facility is very nice and spacious. We like most everything about it, but the rooms in the memory care area are rather small, and don’t really have a homey feel to them. They’re just a square room with an entry hallway where the bathroom is. There wouldn't be any room for her loveseat, her little table and chairs, or mini-fridge after putting her single bed in the room. We could probably get her dresser and her lift-chair and a small table in there, but that’s all I think. That was pretty much the only real negative thing. The bathroom is a good size though.
Memory care is a demanding field, and I have never seen a staff as hardworking or as dedicated to their residents than those at Brooklyn Pointe. I have had great exchanges with everyone: reception, administration, food service, housekeeping, maintenance, aides, enrichment planners, etc., and everyone maintains a positive attitude. From day one, I have felt that my mother and father were in safe, capable hands and that we were a welcome part of their community. I can't recommend Brooklyn Pointe enough. Thank you for all your fine work. Marissa
