The staff upon entering the home are friendly and helpful. They hold activities for the residents and take very good care of your loved ones. My grandmother was cared for over 7 years at Birchwood Grange (Blue Bell unit) until she passed away and she was loved by the staff and she loved them. They become familiar yet always professional. The feeling you get when you know that your loved one's are being looked after with care, dedication and professionalism is so reassuringly important.

My mother spent many happy years at Birchwood Grange Nursing Home, Harrow. I cannot praise the staff in Bluebell enough for the stellar care and attention given to her before she passed away. A job well-done to all the staff.
Amazing team here at birchwood, really helpful and supportive of all the residents. Joanne is very lively and makes sure all residents has a great experience at the care home. Would 100% recommend.
Birchwood Grange is a large welcoming care home with warm and friendly staff and caters for Residential, Nursing, and Dementia residents. There is a dedicated wing for Asian residents, with it's own Vegetarian Asian Kitchen. The carers, nurses and management staff, Linda and Rupesh were friendly, courteous and professional. They all did their best to make my mother feel welcome and comfortable during her stay The room allocated was spotlessly clean, though a little compact it was adequately maintained. Food provided was good and sufficient, and there were no complaints from my mother. The common areas were clean and well maintained. My main criticism is on the GP allocated to the wing in which my mother stayed. Being a large care home each wing has an allocated GP. The GP allocated to my mothers unit (Dove), never visited the residents in the 13 months that my mother was resident there. My mother is Diabetic, and needs 6 monthly reviews. To my knowledge this was never done, and when her blood sugars increased I had to push the nurses to get the GP to review her medication, which eventually happened after another 2 months. If I had not pushed, nothing would have happened and my mother's health would have deteriorated. To me this is unacceptable. Other residents in the same unit had raised similar concerns regarding the GP, so this was not an isolated case. Eventually I moved my mother to another care home that offered better residential care and where the GP actually called me to see if I had any concerns. Now, that's what you call service. Birchwood Grange, a good care home with attentive staff, let down by poor GP support (in my case). Do your due diligence before choosing.
I must say activities for my wife is phenomenal, Joanne, Natasha, and Aaron make her smile and laugh constantly. The customer service manager Poorni has made this transition really easy for my Joyce. When I visit my wife as soon as I walk in I feel very welcomed and feel like I'm at home. I'm very happy with how joyce is progressing at the care home
