My sister was in Oulton Park at the end of her life, for a little less than 2 months. She was not the easiest of patients, but all the staff were so sympathetic, and meticulous at keeping her comfortable. Oulton Park is a really happy place, and the staff are so caring and dedicated. Sue could not have been in a better place, and we are immensely grateful for the gentle and kindly way they dealt with her death. Thank you all.

My mum spent her last 5 months in the nursing home where she received excellent care 24 hours a day. I couldn’t have wished for her to be in a more lovely place with wonderful staff. Everybody was very caring, considerate, thoughtful and respectful, nothing was ever too much trouble. From the start when we first approached the administration dept they made us feel like part of the family. The purpose-built home has gardens with colourful flowers in bloom. There are ample car park spaces available. With a fully trained nurse on duty 24 hours a day I felt comfortable that my mum was cared for throughout the day and night. The team of dedicated carers are truly second to none, they are just simply lovely human beings. The friendly housekeeping team kept everywhere clean and tidy. The entertainment team organised several daily activities with a weekly what’s on programme sheet circulated at the start of each week. Tasty meals were freshly prepared in the kitchen with an ample choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The kitchen staff were always very friendly and helpful. The atrium is a lovely area to enjoy a drink and refreshments when visiting. Oulton Park is more like a 5-star hotel, the fully furnished rooms are a generous size, well equipped with en-suite facilities. I felt reassured that my mum was being well looked after and I enjoyed good quality time with her when visiting. Family and friends visiting all said Oulton Park was a lovely place throughout. Overall, high quality caring at its best.
We, the Waveney Valley Model Railway Club, visited Oulton Park Care home today to display and operate one of our club layouts Thurstable Lane and demonstrate some locos & stock for the residents to enjoy. The hospitality was fantastic, we also really enjoyed the tea & Cake. Thank you for letting us visit.
Since being here, I have been extremely happy with the members of staff that care for me on a daily basis. I am also pleased with the quality and variety of daily meals. Daily activities are just what the residents need to occupy their time and minds. The staff all have different personalities but the one thing they all have in common is their professionalism and dedication to the job.
We love bringing our girl guides to Barchester, we are always welcomed warmly by both staff and residents. The residents are always encouraged to join in activities and are clearly well cared for and happy. Its a place I would be happy to have any of my family members live here ☺️
