Fran and I moved in together last summer into a spacious two-bedroom suite and entered a kind caring lively environment. Originally we chose Amica on Douglas because of the location. When we arrived, however, we quickly realized that the Residence offered many amenities that support multiple health issues in a wellness oriented environment that is safe courteous and enhances our dignity. Recently, we were able to upgrade our space and received much support to enhance our experience. Now I'm adding flexibility and open sharing of information to my list of reasons to experience gratitude here.

Have lived here since November, 2023. Good care at all levels as far as I can tell. We are in a lovely assisted living suite. A similar suite, newly renovated, is currently available. Food is good, bus service excellent, car parking available if you are still driving. Good laundry service. Good activities, small gym, excellent staff. Seniors seem to be happy and well cared for.
I reached out to Amica Douglas House to learn more information about the location and services offered. The team was very professional promptly returned my emails and then quickly set up a time to meet. Ish and Tianna were extremely helpful and thoughtful in providing the information that I was requesting. They asked very thoughtful questions to help us assess if Douglas House was the right location for us and they assured us that this is their goal when working with potential residents. We toured the location twice and they were both very supportive and transparent in providing all of the answers to our questions, which was a wonderful experience.
A polite, friendly and caring staff at all levels of staffing. Located on the best possible location in all of Victoria, with Beacon Hill Park directly across the street to the east, and Dallas Road and the ocean walkway to the south, a mere short block away.
I have had referrals for physiotherapy treatments for residents at Amica Douglas House for many years. The staff have always been very supportive of having me, a private PT, providing my services there and have always been approachable and easy to talk to. They value my opinion and suggestions and are easy to collaborate with. It is obvious that they genuinely care for their residents.
