We would give this place a NEGATIVE FIVE STARS if we could. Horrific comes to our minds when we think of this place. We wanted to wait a year before we gave our review. However, this Care home asked for the FIRST Google Review the very next day after my mother died and then two more times within a couple of days.... and here we are, they're asking for the fourth review... So here we go. Communication extremely poor; the care was poor. Many times, we found my mother clothes missing, her clothes smelled of urine and we found her clothes to be put back in her drawer unwashed and smelling. They would put her hearing aids in her ears; however, majority of the time they weren't turned on. We had them fill in a daily sign off sheet every time they would put the hearing aids in but still failed to turn them on. My mother had a FOOD ALLERGY to BEANS. We came up stairs for a visit and found her to be fed a five beans salad with a soup that had beans in it which she was allergic to. When it was pointed out to the Nurse and the care aides, no-one pulled her plate away from her. The nurse at the time argued with me saying it wasn't beans. I had to take a picture of her plate and go downstairs to speak with Management. Staff would not take accountability for their mistakes until we involved management. After months of mom living there, we noticed her toothpaste wasn't going down. When we brought it to the care aids attention, they said they used their own tube. When we brought this to management's attention they were surprised. When management asked to see the tube that the care aides were using, the care aides couldn't produce it. These were just SOME of the things we experienced while she lived there. In our opinion we wouldn't recommend this care home. I still get TERRIBLY UPSET to this day - having to leave my mom there. However, we would suggest to anyone to do their homework before placing your loved ones in any Care Home. PLEASE CHECK OUT healthspace.ca Go to List of residential care homes, then type in the area that you want to review, and this will give you a list of long-term care homes inspections. Such as Routine Inspection and Complaint Investigation and or Follow-up Inspection. Review it and hold them accountable.

The nursing and admin staff here have amazing. I am not able to visit directly with my mom who has dementia because my some is severely immuno compromised so they have been working with me to help her with FaceTime so she can see us and know we are still with her and love her even though we can’t be there. I cannot thank them enough for the care they have given to her and us!!
Caring staff, wonderful atmosphere. Lots of activities
We are happy with the facility
