Lovely setting with plenty of gardens and trees. Friendly residents, and lots of activities. Peaceful and quiet. Very central to Library, Mall, Aquatic centre and public transport.
very clean and nice atmosphere. cafe not so great. scones hard and crumbly, 1 slither of butter for a large scone. seating not easy to ease into. maybe too many tables too close together.
The facilities are wonderful at Waitakere Gardens. BUT if you MUST do aerobics for entertainment of your residents during Level 4 , can you tell the person with the megaphone duties to have a cup of tea and calm down before letting her outside? It would be nice if she wasn't screeching at every resident in the street to RISE AND SHINE on a Tuesday morning and blasting Grease Lightning right outside our apartment, - some of us work night shifts and don't need to be woken up by the dulcet tones of a banshee in a pink jacket performing a choreographed routine in the middle of the street.
What an awesome place for the retired. I have visited my aunt there and she loves it. Great community feel with a cafe.pool.gymn and much more for them to do. Jigsaw puzzles scattered around to do and all the folk seem to know each other.my aunt loves it there
