Trust moves the world... and money also moves the world! Would someone add 😁 Well, in my case, after serious hospital vicissitudes, I was lucky enough to invest both resources well. Confidence arose when I landed on the interview with the owner of the Ville Soggiorno for the elderly, in Velletri, where I found the solution to offer my mother well-deserved assistance, not only physical but also moral, in the delicate post-acute phase. In fact, you can immediately see who puts their heart into their work activities and it is not always obvious that it will be "activated" in the social sector. So I felt well understood by Barbara, despite the pain often leading us to mistrust and the fear of entrusting the parent to care or assistants who are not up to par torments us every moment, when they have serious health or autonomy problems (albeit transitory) because our impotence magnifies the responsibility we have towards them. ..as if they were our children. Although it is true that if "you don't go through it, you can't understand" it is also true that a strong empathy and a sense of solidarity, combined with professionalism and experience, can offer a key to knowing a reality worthy of respect to make us help assist our loved ones. This is what I was able to discover after deciding to accompany my mother, hospitalized at Villa delle Querce, to Villa Sofia. I was very present in the work that was carried out to best restore his global functionality, both in terms of physical and mental health. Lots of physiotherapy and patience on both sides; joy and tears; together with the laughter but also with my mother's "revitalizing suggestions", raising her adrenaline 😃.. they characterized the path of her recovery: tried as she was, but also us family members, ... the hope of being able to recover seemed like an illusion see him again in his role as "marshal" with his personality and at ease for a long time in another house. Instead, I went to visit her or pick her up for an ice cream, a chocolate, a Mac Donald 😎 nearby, or to go to a restaurant or visit a farm... and it was just like going to his house and equally when returning. I became so fond of hers "new home" gave me security. Also from another point of view: before she got injured I had necessarily had to experience the collaboration of a carer at home: my mother wasn't really suitable; the high mood and the trouble she managed to cause in response were harmful and furthermore, when there was a substitute, the fear (well-founded) that they would extort something from her or deceive her in their favor was distressing. Both at his home and in the hospital. Everything is more harmonious in a community, even for socializing, rather than begging for company from caregivers busy with their cell phones or otherwise not very entertaining. To tell the truth, during my last hospital period in Rome, and also in Nemi, I was assisted privately in a very comfortable way... I met two wonderful people to help me in those times when I had to look after my still young daughter and with my husband in away. But occasional, temporary help is one thing and having peace of mind 24 hours a day is another. At Villa Sofia there is medical assistance and the presence of operators day and night. But without the risk of seeing one's parent a victim of scams, because it is not an environment that no one controls... it is community life and the atmosphere is homely. There is the rule of time to be respected... but I have been able to see that in some ways it is a good thing. Then they make some exceptions when necessary. I also picked up my mother at certain times, taking her for a walk with me. Or some of my friends who live nearby did it in my place. And even if I couldn't do it all, every day, I was sure that there would be no shortage of jokes and liveliness there. Sometimes I saw videos of them "dancing" or partying to take advantage of some resident's birthday. Then my mother left to another house (continued...)

Immersed in the greenery, the structure is well managed
