Dear SSB-Team, we have had a super time at your hotel. But the 2 nights were way to short. The bed was super-comfortable, we slept like stones. Everything was quiet. We loved the view from our terrace to the Aegean-sea. The 2 women from the reception were like HOLIDAY-COACHES. They introduced us to the greek sea-food, specials at the breakfast and several nice places around the hotel. The only thing that we did not like is, that we were not allowed to throw toilet-paper into the toilet. I have also created a Video on Youtube about our stay: (it is in GERMAN with english subtitles) We can totally recommend this Hotel 🙂👍👍

One of the most beautiful, peaceful hotels I've ever been to. The owner, Maria, and the rest of the staff were some of the most helpful, kind, warm people I've ever met -- even for Greeks! The hotel was a 60-second walk to the beach. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had -- it was like having a Greek grandmother's home cooking, with many food options! The taverna across the street had some of the best seafood I've ever eaten. 11 out of 10!
For the price I was really expecting more than a broken bathroom and fraying 80s decor and an indifferent staff. They had packed up their beach for the season in early October even though the weather was hot and sunny out, but they took no effort to steer us towards some amazing nearby places that had not closed up yet, so we had to discover those on our own—so I give them no credit for the beach that forms the basis for everyone else’s amazing reviews. If the staff were interested in helping their customers have an amazing time in Porto Rafti then they could easily do better... Things like “how can I get a load of laundry done” are just met with “we do not have any washing machines here” and not “I don’t know but that is a very interesting problem and let us work together to solve it.” Or if someone is going to spend this much, it would be nice to have a bottle of water or juice in the fridge, to go with the glasses that they have left in the room. Little touches of love that show that your staff really wants to show Greek hospitality to your guests. Basically the only truly-nice thing in the room was the soft bed and the (albeit tiny) patio. Someone really cared about making this place beautiful and modern—but that was years ago and their style was stuck in the 1980s. It has been slowly decaying in the years since, because that passion is just not there. Edit: if you want to see what I am talking about, read the owner's reply to this review. Keep in mind that the owner is talking confidently about events 5 years ago saying that my experience was impossible. That's what I remember from the stay too, it was frustrating to just have a normal conversation with anyone there, it was just "no you're wrong" about things that you literally can't be wrong about like "where could we get a nice meal?" "no the restaurant is closed", or "is there anywhere in this town to do laundry" — "no we do not have laundry service"... and now 5 years later it's "the decor was dated and your staff was unhelpful and we couldn't experience the joy of your beach" — "no the decor is from 2006 and our staff is 9 stars and you couldn't possibly have had a bad experience 5 years ago, we haven't slipped up ever in the past 5 years"... who thinks like this? I wish I could say it was a cultural thing but we met SO MANY nice people in Greece!
I rarely give reviews, but today the owner of Sea Sight hotel went above and beyond service expectations. My wife and I left to the airport at 3:45am. It wasn’t until we were in the airport that we found out we forgot a cell phone in the room. We had no time to make the 1 hour round trip to get it. After calling the owner at 4:00am , she answered and said she would drive to the hotel to get the phone, and meet the taxi driver I set up to transport the phone to the airport. We now have our phone before leaving for the United States. They were also very helpful in calling and placing our order with a local restaurant for delivery. Thank you!!!
Very quiet hotel, facing the sea, it has a very good restaurant, comfortable rooms, free parking, everything makes for a good stay. The best thing is the kindness and willingness of the people who work there who are always attentive to the needs of the guests, especially Maria.
