147 Front St, Philipsburg, Sint Maarten
Four of us (two couples; my wife and I, and two friends) stayed in penthouse room 701A in May 2025. We had a wonderful week in Philipsburg, Sint Maarten. Clean comfortable accommodation, views to die for, secure parking across the street, and decent WiFi. Right on the promenade, lift/s to all floors, and with a private section on this perfect white sand powder beach. We loved dropping in for a swim (see photograph from our balcony). Delvina on reception was a delight, and helpful to us throughout - thank you. Highly recommended. We’d definitely stay again!

Not a bad place really, the rooms were pretty nice and well maintained. Plenty of room and fully equipped with a kitchen living room area and a dinning room table. It had what we needed to cook for ourselves. Note they make you pay separately for electricity. Min of 35$ or more depending on your usage. The building looks uninviting and maintenance is ongoing but not bad inside. No frills set up. Accommodations is it. No breakfast, restaurant or snack machines. They do have an unassociated Chinese restaurant in the building. It is located right in the same area cruise ships drop off passengers. But when cruise ships are not in port much is closed or closes early. Times posted on Google maps for businesses is totally at the whim of the cruise business.
There is NO way this is a 3 star hotel. The employees are fantastic (polite and very helpful). It sits right on a beautiful beach. However: there was soap scum in the showers, human hair on the floor, couches smelled of mildew, bedroom AC unit didn't work, house cleaning 1X a week, curtains had holes in them, small beach area was never cleaned, chairs and umbrellas need replacing, and I could go on. This hotel is 2 stars at best.
The front office staff were wonderful especially Delvin and Sherwin, which are the only names I have. The staff makes the resort a A plus.
The rooms were clean but there was a scratch on the TV and minor damage throughout that could have been fixed. They are right on the beach which was beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Since the Island likes to have rolling power outages it would be a good idea to put signs on the elevator warning guests not to use during the scheduled power outage times since there is no generator. There is no parking at this hotel.
