De Los Angeles 125, 45907 San Antonio Tlayacapan, Jal., Mexico
Sadly the care of this place significantly declined in the past couple months. The one nurse there became less present at this location. The nurse assistants were not as attentive as they promised and as it was needed for my mom. Some of them were not really trained well to do certain things and were not nurturing. There were times when my important messages were not read or listened to by the nurse/manager and that caused problems for my mom's care. I was not given accurate information about how my mom was doing at least a couple crucial times. I was told she was just very sleepy 2 times. Found her not responsive to waking her up once for over 20 minutes and 2 days later Found her in wheelchair looking like she may have had a stroke. I took her to urgent care and the brain MRI said she had developed small vessel disease in her brain and had very recently had several small strokes. No apologies for that. A couple times they did not give her proper treatment to prevent wounds. The lack of response of those major problems was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. She had to be hospitalized for 3 nights and moved to better place that would give her the nursing care and monitoring she needs. Sadly I wonder whether there was any intentional harm to her because of the lack of response and no apologies. Activities, engagement and monitoring decreased to much to the point to where it became very detrimental to my mom. She's now a different person and a lot more unstable now. Was a lot more functional when she arrived a few months ago. I don't know if she was singled out and treated differently than other residents for certain reasons, but I would not recommend anyone to leave their loved one here. Seemed good initially and was recommended.
