Initially built as a hospice for fallen nobles thanks to the testamentary donation of Giampietro de Proti in 1420, it became a public hospice in the 19th century, and is now a modern residence for self-sufficient elderly people. It is managed by the IPAB of Vicenza and offers mini apartments of various sizes for rent. The residence is equipped with a concierge service and offers medical and nursing assistance. A small chapel known as the Oratorio dei Proti is also part of the structure.
