Celebrated my daughter's birthday by going to St Maarten. The Royal Palm Hilton did not disappoint. The staff Casey, Santa and Chantal made our trip memorable. They gave us great recommendations and they were super friendly. Devan, the bartender at the pool bar was busy and hardworking but didn't skip a beat and made sure the drinks/food order were taken care of and served in a timely manner. The property was maintained very well, and the rooms were like newly built. Its in a great location as there were really wonderful restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely recommend.

Book this resort! We had such a great stay. It is incredibly walkable to lots of bars and restaurants, has probably the best beach in Simpson Bay and the staff was very helpful. The room was very clean and spacious. Had everything we needed. We did read the reviews and ask for a room away from any club noise and we slept so soundly. We were never bothered by club or construction noise. The construction does not start until later in the day. The rooms are very insulated, we didn't even hear a thing from either neighbor. There are multiple grocery stores to walk to, and the pool bar and restaurant was good quality. Parking lot always had a spot for our van. We felt very safe, they have security out front and on beach at all times. They would check your room number when you were using beach to make sure you were staying there. They enforced rules like not saving chairs which is amazing compared to some resorts where you cannot find one due to everyone holding them for no reason. The happy hour was a great deal, excellent frozen drinks! Zero complaints, loved everything about our stay.
During the day, the resort was great. At night, it was absolutely horrible. The music from the club directly across the street was unbearable to the point we had to leave and go to an entirely different resort at another end of the island. We are fortunate enough that our host was gracious enough to refund our money due to the continuous problem. Imagine traveling from another country for rest and relaxation only to have your unit sound like it was actually in the club. As the Club "nowhere special" after numerous complaints didn't even make an attempt to adjust the volume. We will absolutely never stay at this resort again unless we are on an isolated side away from the disturbing nightlife across the street. If you are looking for rest and relaxation, I would suggest you ask to be away from the 8-400 side!!!!
Have been owner for many years. This is first time back since the big hurricane. Units are fantastic 2 bed/2 bath with kitchen. This means you can have leftovers and make breakfast/lunch. Walkong distance to multiple restaurants. Favorite was Astra across street but on site restaurant was great. Can walk to fast food or many different types of food. Casino also walking distance. Fun activities at pool. Great bar and drinks great.
Pros: The room is beautiful with ocean view! Briana at the towel shack is very knowledgeable about local eateries and beaches. The pool and beach nearby is well maintained and staff is very helpful. Cons: very loud band across the street at night. Also very pushy concierge by the pool trying to get us to attend a presentation.
