I happened to visit Ammakuyil old age home along with my friend Saritha's family for her mother's death anniversary on 21.06.24 as she had given afternoon meals. I got astonished by seeing nearly more than 25 Mothers in the house happily living. As I hail from a renowned Taravad in Palghat where we were used to a be in ajoint family my presence there took me back to my childhood days in that Tarawad. Though most of the mothers reached that place due to so many miseries, they forgot the past and enjoying in that house. We got the priviledge to sit with them and had lunch and after that so many mothers were good singers and they entertained us with their song so sweet and short. Our special appreciation for their management team Mrs Leena and Mrs. Sheena for their extraordinary courties and their support to these mothers. Instead of we wasting money on gala dinners etc all of us should do some functions here as we will get complete satisfaction seeing the smiling faces of these mothers. Ofcourse they are having some inconveniences in the present location but we wish them to see in their own building soon accomodating more mothers. As a former Vice President of Ramco Industries Chennai, I had travelled the length and breadth of this country, visited so many oldage homes,destitute homes etc but the energy I got visiting Ammakuyil is very nostalgic. I thank Saritha's family, Mrs.Leena and Mrs Sheena for getting an opportunity to see so many mothers as I lost my mother in 2006. From our side we will do all possible to keep the vibe of this place to improve further. I have posted few snaps which I took.

Had the opportunity to spend time with the wonderful Mothers living in Ammakuyil .The mothers were very jolly and interacted very well with us . Each and every mother has a painful story to tell . A truly wonderful place for mothers to call home. The atmosphere is cheerful and positive, and the staff specially Leena Chechy and Sheena Chechy goes above and beyond to create a warm and welcoming environment for the mothers living there . The staffs had a warm smile on their face and kind words to share. I was very happy to spend time with wonderful mothers and amazing staff . Really loved my visit and will visit them again and again .
I had the chance to spend time with them, and it was a very wonderful experience. Leena ma'am and Shaini ma'am deserve praise for running the house with kindness and compassion. Love u all 🫂
