We stayed for 3 nights at Alawi, occupying one room at Alawi Home and one room at Alawi Boutique. The rooms were both very nice and clean. We really enjoyed the family atmosphere and the private beach. The staff made our stay extremely pleasant. Thanks again, especially to Emanuel and Eddy. The beach at Alawi with the sand banks and the crystal clear water is just beautiful. Moreover, we would like to emphasize the delicious food.

Very good place, awesome staff and overall its a splendid place. The privacy of the rooms depends on the room location, so if you are planning to stay there and want privacy make sure you have an upstairs room. The only bad thing about Alawi is the road getting there, 40 minutes of bumpy road and the place there is isolated so we had to do trips to the local town to stock on some stuff which will cost u around 10 dollars overall. Overall very nice experience.
The best boutique hotel we've ever stayed. .....from staff, food, location and ambience. Been here several times when in Watamu and it's hard to beat. Highly recommended!!! This is our home away from home.
Very nice boutique hotel in Watamu. A little on the inside and one had to use a rough road but worth the drive. Sandy beach and hospitable staff...rooms are very clean. If you are looking for a quiet time and place, I recommend this place
Beautiful place with amazing rooms and the compound is beautiful. The area is beautiful and so is the beach. The only problem is the roads leading there, the roads are so bad with many potholes so cars can only go slowly. It takes about 30+ minutes to get there from the airport
